Streetfighter ACE-4554 on Fireblade CBR900 CBR929

The ACEWELL ACE-4554 can be a direct fit to the 1999 on Fireblade.

There are 2 ways to connect the Acewell...
The first is to crimp new terminals onto the end of each wire on the Fireblade harness and the second is to solder wires on the Fireblade harness to the tails on the Acewell harness.

If you are cutting the Acewell tails, then cut one wire at a time, about 2 or 3 inches from the plug.
DON'T cut the wire between the plug and the computer!

The Honda gearbox speed sensor is compatible with the ACE-4554 computer, so no additional speed sensor is required.

The original temperature sensor will give a reading on the Acewell, however, it will not be 100% accurate. You have the choice of connecting to the original sensor and knowing that the reading is slightly too high, or removing the tank and airbox and replacing the original sensor which is on the top of the cylinder-head between the rocker box and the frame on the right hand side. Red acewell wire connects to original bullet connector and white wire goes to any -ve

Before removing anything from the bike, check the mileage on your original speedometer - once you start work you won't be able to power up the clocks again.

Unplug the original multipin plug from the fireblade clocks and cut one wire at a time to attach to the Acewell.

After connecting the Acewell, enter the programming screens, set the SPC to 0.5, set the P to 064 and enter the circumference of your back tyre in mm into the C screen, and your existing mileage into the odo screen.

Next you need to calibrate your speedo accurately. Obtain a GPS / Sat nav and strap to your handlebars. Ride the bike and compare the speeds, if the Acewell speedo reads too high, then enter the setup screens and reduce the number in the C screen. If the reading is too low, then increase the number.

That's it, you're done! All you have to do now is decide where you want to mount the Acewell on your streetfighter
